Sculpted from aluminum and glass, which comes in black, platinum and white, the LG G6 features a minimalist design that’s sleek all-round and perfectly smooth to the touch. The metal frame that wraps around the perimeter of the phone imparts solidity in style with a soft matte finish and the back is perfectly flat, with no camera bump to avoid or protect. LG set to deal global TV market with dual premium strategy.

SUPER UHD TV with Nano Cell TM Technology Complements OLED TVs in LG’s Premium TV Lineup.

LG Electronics (LG) announced the launch of its 2017 SUPER UHD TV lineup featuring Nano Cell display lineup at its R&D Center in Seoul today. Alongside the amazingly thin LG SIGNATURE OLED TV W first unveiled at CES last month, LG has high hopes that its dual premium strategy for TVs will expand its market share in the global TV industry. LG SIGNATURE OLED TV W will be available in Korea and the United States starting this month. SUPER UHD TVs with Nano Cell technology will become available in the weeks to come while customers in other markets will see both premium products beginning in the second quarter of 2017.
TVs with Perfect Picture, Design and Sound
LG SIGNATURE OLED TV embodies the company’s pursuit of the best possible viewing experience, featuring the most advanced technologies available in the display industry. LG’s third-generation SUPER UHD TV lineup features Nano Cell technology, which harnesses approximately one nanometer-sized particles to offer incredibly accurate color reproduction. The Nano Cell display achieves impressive picture quality by absorbing stray lightwaves, resulting in purer, cleaner colors. 
This light absorbing capability allows LG’s new LCD displays to filter out specific colors with much greater precision, rendering each color exactly as it was intended. For example, the color red on conventional TVs can blend with other color wavelengths, such as yellow or orange, causing the color to fade and take on a yellowish tint. LG Nano Cell dramatically reduces instances of color fading, image instability and other color degradation issues. Ericsson and Panasonic Join Forces to Deliver Smart,Sustainable Energy Solutions for Mobile Operators,Tower Companies,Others

- Ericsson and Panasonic will join forces to bring Panasonic lithium ion batteries to Ericsson's energy-as-a-service solution, reducing total cost of ownership by 20%

Ericsson  and Panasonic Corporation of North America are collaborating to bring a new energy-as-a-service (EaaS) solution to market. This is the first time that the two companies will work together on smart sustainable energy solutions. The offering will provide an efficient way to intelligently measure, monitor and maintain energy infrastructure for mobile operators and tower companies by using big data-based analytics, energy management software, and lithium ion battery energy storage.

The two companies' solution minimizes the energy costs and other resources required to manage sites. For mobile operators, enterprises and governments, this solution will deliver a reduced total cost of ownership for energy equipment by up to 20 percent, primarily driven by longer battery life and fewer maintenance site visits resulting in the highest level of network availability.

With this as-a-service model up-front investment is not needed and this is an example of how the circular economy opens up for reduced environmental impact through longer product life, replacement of lead in batteries and reduced need for transport.

MWC 2017: Qualcomm and LG Bring 5G and Cellular-V2X Communications Into Vehicles.

Companies use Their Decade-long Experience Delivering Automotive Solutions to Accelerate the Availability of Next-generation Wireless Technology.

Today, Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ: QCOM) through its subsidiary, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., and LG Electronics (LG) announced coordinated efforts to facilitate testing and adoption of 5G and Cellular-V2X (C-V2X) communications into vehicles. 

Qualcomm Technologies and LG expect to showcase these next-generation wireless technologies through trials during the first half of 2018. This work builds on the long-established relationship between Qualcomm Technologies and LG since the two Companies delivered their first telematics system in 2004.

On the path to 5G, LG is developing advanced automotive connectivity solutions based on Qualcomm Technologies' connected car platform, which features support for Gigabit LTE speeds using the Qualcomm® Snapdragon X16 LTE modem, and is complemented by the QCA65x4 Wi-Fi 802.11ac solution. The connected car platform also supports 802.11p/DSRC and C-V2X, based upon 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) Release 14 specifications.

With a strong evolution path to 5G, C-V2X technology is a key feature for safety conscious and autonomous driving solutions. C-V2X complements other Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) sensors, such as cameras, radar and LIDAR, to provide information about the vehicle's surroundings, even in non-line-of-sight (NLOS) scenarios. 

In addition to allowing for 360 degree NLOS, C-V2X is also designed to allow for enhanced situational awareness by detecting and exchanging information using direct communications in the 5.9GHz ITS band with other vehicles, infrastructure and pedestrians' devices, as well as network-based communications to cloud services using commercial cellular bands. Compared to current technologies, C-V2X is designed to deliver enhanced V2X direct communication range, reliability, latency and superior NLOS performance. The technology is supported by a broad ecosystem based on 3GPP Release 14 specifications, with trials expected to begin later this year.
